Our business was created because we wanted to provide imaginative and stylish products to mothers that would also make their lives easier. We all know how hectic life can be caring for babies and children. We have both been child care professionals for over 15 years and now the arrival of babies has made us personally aware of the needs of mothers that previously we had only witnessed! It was whilst working that we came up with the idea for 'The Breastfeeding Butterfly'. Constantly hearing in the press about mothers being condemned for breastfeeding in public and watching friends and mothers we worked with struggle with feeding in public made us want to provide a breastfeeding cover that was comfortable and stylish but would still allow full eye contact with mum.
We decided that most of the breastfeeding covers on the market were unsightly, impractical and looked like you'd left an apron on! We wanted a cover that would blend with mum's outfit so you wouldn't even realise you were wearing one. We spent 2 years perfecting our Breastfeeding Butterfly and now we feel we have created an essential item for all breastfeeding mums. We strongly believe that breastfeeding is something you should be proud of and mums shouldn't have to hide away whilst nursing their baby.
